saturday may 27, 0000
hey suuuuuuuuuckkkkaaaaaaaaaaaaas! i am having the greatest day ever here at work. in the friday magazine there was a large article about how DEADWOOD SEASON 2 was going to be available this weekend.. well i was off the library on friday and we don't get deliveries on saturday so the chances were fairly slim that it would be here.. plus i don't even know if our branch ordered their own copy which would be the only way i would be able to take it home ..... so i come in and theres a stack of new dvds on big one in the middle with no name on the spine.. i held my breath, and pulled it out and ---HELOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUTHAFUCKIN DEADWOOD.... ITS BEEN TOOOO LONG MY FRIEND let's crack a bottle of whiskey, maybe kill someone and enjoy! my weekend is set. i am of course off the rest of today, sunday and monday.... there are about 12-13 hrs of deadwood in there... should i split them up and savor it or well i am a fan of the marathon format..... we'll see either way i'm about to pee my pants with joy.
so this week at work we had our annual career day....only one no-show but i will say it went extraordinarly well.... awesome speakers (BIG UPS AND THANKS TO THE ARTIST BRIDGET G. - with a gallery located in lovely slavic village... go there http://aiv5700gallery.blogspot.com.)
so that was good and a giant relief.. its giving me major diaaahhhhrrrreeeaaaahhh that our school year is practically over.. june 9th holy shit thats close.... there is so much to do yet i wish i could just coast but i've got to put together the students "literary magazine", make awards for everyone, do the diplomas, work on the boss' retirement gig, do the graduation program, and at the end of it all - report cards and transcripts. its like taking a whole box of ex-lax. oh well the weight loss will be worth it in the long run.
oh well i 've got less then one hr. left here at work. ... i pretty much did nothing... burned a bunch of cds (pretty sweet of the library to give me a new comppeeeedo complete with cd burner! imagine the possibilities a cd burner in the library). between that and deadwood - i know jesus loves me... i know it.
saw the un's yesterday... she's sick poor little pup. we're having the lopiccolo memorial day cook out on monday should be pretty great.... sam makes a mean steak on the grill. and that is that.
so i will hope that you enjoy the hell out of our extended weekend and maybe you too will be watching deadwood - if so gimme a holla.
i remain, pissed as hell at the world (for the most part) but having a good day today!
if only i had some cake.. damnitt!
see ya

ps:
did i ever mention how much i hate the song Hotel California?
well.... i do. alot.

t.b.i.m.... may 22, year 0
yes too bad its monday....
oh i heard OWNER OF A LONELY HEART on the radio today and i had to laugh because of all the times i begged Keelhaul to play that song... while it doesn't really lend itself to grinding metal they could've made it their own... one day they may look back and say "why didn't we do that song?"
anyhoooooo
last week was so awesome- so awesomely brief.
i had a library "workshop" to attend on thursday it was from 9-4 yeahh i bolted at 1:20.. it was so gay, so mind numbingly awful that i felt like the room was slowly closing in on me my brain was ticking and the phrase "i cannot take on more second of this...." kept repeating over and over so just before the afternoon session started i looked at my friend cheryl and said "hey i'm just gonna run this bookbag out to my car..... AND DRIVE HOME!!!" i cannot even no actually i won't even describe the activies we had to do. suffice it to say that my table of fellow cpl employees refused to participate appropriately, it was just too gay (what library rebels we are) sad. oh well i got to go home early.
saturday we went to the flying v's estate for dinner which was of course lovely and fun. the 2 babies ended up having a blast together once they got their groove on so that was kinda hysterical.
as for this week its back to the standard grind (not grinding metal or grinding dill) just the same old same old.
we have our first library staff meeting on wed. after work - i'm just goin for the over time... my fear is it will turn into a hostility laden bitch fest.
i get along with everyone there i like everyone there but my feeling is the one person who has taken the liberty of shitting on each of us knows that she is welcome to a solid fucking off but theres no need to address it because - it is what it is and she's in her late 60's or so - so it won't change. she's not a horrible person she's just old and flips out now and again all over you - LOUDLY- we'd all like it to be remedied but the only remedy i fear is retirement. oh well.
other then that i have half a day of school friday and i'm off the library so thats like a bonus day sort of. we have career day at school on thursday.. as usual we will just pray for the best and no heckling.
okey dokey talk to you again.
