saturday
".... pick a guitar, and fill a fruit jar and be gay-oh, son of a gun we're gonna have big fun on the bayou"....
1. i don't live on the bayou - i live in rocky river
2. but i'm having a good time
3. i cannot get this song out of my head.
this morning / mid day the song in my head was "its all in the game" i think thats the title or maybe just "the game" you oldies junkies know it....... "once in a while you don't call, but its all in the game, ......soon he'll be there by your side with a sweet bouquet, and he will kiss you're lips, and caress your waiting fingertips and you're heart will fly away.........." MAN I LOVE THAT SONG... and van morrison covers it on an album and i freaking love it. a former associate/friend of mine (former by means of relocation) and i have a running disagreement about van morrison - old van morrison vs newer van morrison.... i'm a newer fan.. not all the newest horseshitty stuff... but there are records like ENLIGHTENMENT, and DAYS LIKE THESE that i appreciate for the weathered appreciation of love and the human experience and all that crap....i love the mumblings at the end of songs "previous, previous, previous, ........." those are words that sparked our arguement.... big ups to you where ever you are and i hope you know that I'M RIGHT ON THIS...
anyhowwww, today chris and i went to the lakewood arts thing, and it was filled with art and alot of crap. i specifically liked the flatware wind chime.. nothing screams "i'm a hillbilly" like a wind chime made of spoons. sad. hopefully in the near future my own PINCHY CHICKENHEADED ART WILL AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC TO RESCUE EVERYONE FROM SUCH SCHLOCK.... sooon. i promise. (and remember with RADIO THON coming up ...some of my original pinchy chicken headed art will be available to donors..)
so after the arts fest i went to TARGET and heres where i send a couple ENORMOUS big ups out....
1. to mr. & mrs. wayne and barbara welk... for the target gift card FOR MY BIRFDAY.... they once again pulled me out of a minor money crunch just in time... i love those folks... love em ...so thank you thank you thank you.....
2. then as i'm meandering through the pet supply aisle i am spotted by a former (on hiatus only due to life in general) dog of mine from my life at the big F. (my 7 yr. stint at the grocery store - bakery department.. 2 words PINEAPPLE DONUT - awww hell yeah) anyhoo biggest ups to my friend TIMO'TE or TA-TAMBO TAMBO. it was quite a bolt from the blue to see him again but a literal FUCKING DELIGHT... you know how you lose people in life and some youre like .... whatever.... and them some you're like man that's a shame that we lost track of one another... he's one of the latter... what fun we'd have (i wonder if he remembers it as fun... my retrospect button is often on the fritz).... while working in a place that can be so bogus at times- he was one of the cool spots in every day. i tell you honestly there are soooo many times i miss that job.... of course i made more money then i do now... ( love that social services industry)... i loved going in to work at 6:00 a.m., i loved the coffee... man i fucking loved that coffee, i loved opening the store, i loved mocking, aggrevating, taunting and annoying customers, i loved the people i worked with (quick shout outs to : terry, theresa -my evil protoge', linda, gert, sabrina..and so many more) what a great time. i was just last week regaling the boys at the bar with stories from my work in the bakery.... i'm glad that i have that job in such a good light in my memory... UNLIKE THE SHIT HOLE FROM HELL INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM I WORKED FOR FOR ABOUT A YEAR... i think its inappropriate to use the name but they're located near 140TH and madison and the whole office was the biggest bunch of COCKSUCKERS if ever encountered in one place.....
on that note good bye and god bless

ps: had a nice dinner with carolyn and sam. man i love those guys but i hate chinese food.

thursday.
today was a decent day. i found out i don't have to pull some horseshit duty on my BIRFDAY!! as i had originally thought.. thank you G. i also heard from our dear friend MARILYN who does our HAIRDOOOOOO... good to hear from her. i cleaned the house. i let GENE SIMMONS out.
i was rapping with chris today about the major need for me to have cable upstairs in my BOUDOIR... yeah the other night i was watching some discovery channel thing about ancient rome and the commercial said : NEXT: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO HITLER, and like a kid waiting for santa i got my favorite non-monkey blanket and pillow all settled on the couch and got pumped for some prime hitler viewing... sadly russian historians are sooooooooooo boring that i fell asleep and later woke up and went upstairs... I MUST ELIMINATE THAT MIDDLE MAN. HITLER IN MY BOUDOIR dare i dream it.
good night.
i remain,

tuesday/wednesday
yes it two, two, two blogs in one.
so the big event of today was that i tried to make an egg i my microwave and it blew up... literally... a sound that i thought for sure would have the police at my house - it sounded like a cannon going off. good bye dear microwave. this microwave has been with me since the day the welk and i moved in together on clifton boulevard.... its hung tough for over 10 years (and i'm sure i've got the cancer to prove it) - i've noticed just recently that about 80% of the paint on the inside of the oven was bubbling or completely chipped off and so i knew the end was near... adieu. and thank you for many years of fun quick and easy dining.
other then that not much happened today.
tomorrow / today i will hit the pool then go buy a new micro.
my stray cat friend was out side today and he was crying and crying at the back of my house.. at what i don't know...but i went out to console him and i gave him a bowl of food and he let me get almost a yardstick away. i love him. i want him to join my family. it will take time. i might name him harry (short for HAIRDOOO - which i like to sing to him).
ok there it is.
talk to you soon,

SUNDAY
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEAR GOOD TIME HAPPY FRIENDS MONDAY MORNING DRINKING COFFEE SHOW - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!!
hi it's noonish on sunday. looks a little like rain. - last night at work wasn't bad at all.. i got to be outside on a beautiful night. i got to meet some listeners who were excellent (big ups to adam and his wife (Elisa?)) it was actually a really nice evening. could it be that something else was keeping my mood elevated at work? could i have been joyously preoccupied and there fore more forgiving of humanity? sure.
so today i will head out to get a paper. maybe hit the groc. store. maybe rent a movie, maybe go out to a movie, maybe see what the sinners are up to, it's a world of wide open possibility (am i still happy inside - yes).
i will be thinking of you as i go through my day.
see you tomorrow!
