saturday
".... pick a guitar, and fill a fruit jar and be gay-oh, son of a gun we're gonna have big fun on the bayou"....
1. i don't live on the bayou - i live in rocky river
2. but i'm having a good time
3. i cannot get this song out of my head.
this morning / mid day the song in my head was "its all in the game" i think thats the title or maybe just "the game" you oldies junkies know it....... "once in a while you don't call, but its all in the game, ......soon he'll be there by your side with a sweet bouquet, and he will kiss you're lips, and caress your waiting fingertips and you're heart will fly away.........." MAN I LOVE THAT SONG... and van morrison covers it on an album and i freaking love it. a former associate/friend of mine (former by means of relocation) and i have a running disagreement about van morrison - old van morrison vs newer van morrison.... i'm a newer fan.. not all the newest horseshitty stuff... but there are records like ENLIGHTENMENT, and DAYS LIKE THESE that i appreciate for the weathered appreciation of love and the human experience and all that crap....i love the mumblings at the end of songs "previous, previous, previous, ........." those are words that sparked our arguement.... big ups to you where ever you are and i hope you know that I'M RIGHT ON THIS...
anyhowwww, today chris and i went to the lakewood arts thing, and it was filled with art and alot of crap. i specifically liked the flatware wind chime.. nothing screams "i'm a hillbilly" like a wind chime made of spoons. sad. hopefully in the near future my own PINCHY CHICKENHEADED ART WILL AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC TO RESCUE EVERYONE FROM SUCH SCHLOCK.... sooon. i promise. (and remember with RADIO THON coming up ...some of my original pinchy chicken headed art will be available to donors..)
so after the arts fest i went to TARGET and heres where i send a couple ENORMOUS big ups out....
1. to mr. & mrs. wayne and barbara welk... for the target gift card FOR MY BIRFDAY.... they once again pulled me out of a minor money crunch just in time... i love those folks... love em ...so thank you thank you thank you.....
2. then as i'm meandering through the pet supply aisle i am spotted by a former (on hiatus only due to life in general) dog of mine from my life at the big F. (my 7 yr. stint at the grocery store - bakery department.. 2 words PINEAPPLE DONUT - awww hell yeah) anyhoo biggest ups to my friend TIMO'TE or TA-TAMBO TAMBO. it was quite a bolt from the blue to see him again but a literal FUCKING DELIGHT... you know how you lose people in life and some youre like .... whatever.... and them some you're like man that's a shame that we lost track of one another... he's one of the latter... what fun we'd have (i wonder if he remembers it as fun... my retrospect button is often on the fritz).... while working in a place that can be so bogus at times- he was one of the cool spots in every day. i tell you honestly there are soooo many times i miss that job.... of course i made more money then i do now... ( love that social services industry)... i loved going in to work at 6:00 a.m., i loved the coffee... man i fucking loved that coffee, i loved opening the store, i loved mocking, aggrevating, taunting and annoying customers, i loved the people i worked with (quick shout outs to : terry, theresa -my evil protoge', linda, gert, sabrina..and so many more) what a great time. i was just last week regaling the boys at the bar with stories from my work in the bakery.... i'm glad that i have that job in such a good light in my memory... UNLIKE THE SHIT HOLE FROM HELL INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM I WORKED FOR FOR ABOUT A YEAR... i think its inappropriate to use the name but they're located near 140TH and madison and the whole office was the biggest bunch of COCKSUCKERS if ever encountered in one place.....
on that note good bye and god bless
fea
ps: had a nice dinner with carolyn and sam. man i love those guys but i hate chinese food.
