PS: i neglected a major item that made me happy today:
* using the nickname "DUMPY" for a man with billow pants.... i still laugh aloud.

hi all.
here is a quick list of things that made me happy today....
* hot dogs on a grill
* having my work read aloud.....
* soap operas doing what they're supposed to
* friends sitting on my porch drinking and talking - love them
* a new screen
* the squirrel eating a corn cob
* reading on the glider
* warm weather
* the cats
* the thought of the monkey blanket
* having the greatest curry chicken, vegetables and rice dinner ever
* the hitler channel
* jazz walking around the house at my leisure
* going to bed
* contact with the actual monkey blanket
* having some fun people who will read these...
o.k. that is really NOT it... but a nice little dose of happiness. Chris and i have been discussing / disecting happiness and my theory is - there is no super great overwhelming life consuming happiness... it is taking these little aforementioned items and weaving them into a monkey blanket of general happiness.
and that's what i think.

it's late.
i worked tonight for the indians game... who won??? don't ask me i don't care. did i make alot of $$? yes i did, and that ends my concern for the evening. i will now give super giant propers to one mr. scully, friend of chris, friend of many, listener of show, and therefore reciever of free cocktails. big ups to you john, and your analysis of the program. YOU MAY BE THE MAN NOW DOG!!!
other then that my day/night was fairly uneventful. i'm off tomorrow but have to work both saturday and sunday.... ick.. i'll make the best of it however because i'm po. and love the cash.

hi all
it's been such a long time since i blogged - i'm sorry i guess i hit a lull. you understand.
so lets see where we left off....
* went to prom last friday.... kinda boring, kinda uneventful, kinda fun, i wore the leopard pants(big hit) i don't know --it was what it was. sadly, my "date" was re-able to go but lack of communication prevented us from cinching the deal. regrets.... i have a few.... but then again too few to mention......................
*saturday - chris and i went on the east side mini-vacation... easily one of the funnest days of my life. really. i pity those of you who don't have a best friend like chris because you life must indeed suck. sorry.
*sorry to interrupt but my landlord is outside my window yelling "chester" its about to storm and he's looking for the cat. i love my home.
* sunday... what the hell did i do? oh yea went to my parents house ... these are crazy people but i must say i love them with reckless abandon.... they're too funny to penalize for their craziness. you go family keep on being nuts.
*its begining to thunder.... i love a storm... love it... i do however dread a power outage although it immediately creates a great reason to be late for work.
* monday - did the show... soooo happy to be back to the chris and me show rather then the fighting show... my adoration for chris cannot be measured...so when we are mad (and i know that happens) it offfends me, because he is ME... i don't want to get tooo esoteric.
* it's pouring outside - i love it i wish go walking in this... did i ever tell you all about the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE - yes this is it.
- i was living on clifton blvd. and it was early summer and i was off work. i had just purchased kahlil gibrahns "jesus" book and i decided to pack a bag and go to the lake for some sun and reading... the day at hand was perfect... i got there.. unfurled my blanket and read... (this book is one of my favorites....) and enjoyed the rays of sun and was in my heart truly content... if every day was this day i could live forever... then it started to get darker... and drizzled a bit... then came this amazing torrential down pour ... it rained so hard it hurt to walk with your eyes open but at the same time it was the greatest feeling on earth.... so rather then stop under one of the many clifton store front awnings i forged on.... laughing at how hard it was raining..... the rain kept on... i got home got out of my soaked clothes and immediately headed for the porch to resume reading .. and it was warm.. and it was wonderful... and it was happy, and it was summer, and it was simple, and it was joy. and that was to date the greatest day of my life. don't judge me... it is what it is.
* monday - cook out with carolyn and the sinner - dan, maj and the children. how fabulous. the aforementioned people are the heart and soul of my existance and i love them... so to share a hamburger or weiner with them is golden... love love love em. got home and my landlord Paul lent me the movie "vanilla sky" to watch.... look for the review on a website near you!!!!
that leads to tuesday which was rather drab... except i took the youth of today to do community service with a bunch of little little kids... in summation we got to spend an hour and a half playing kick ball - if you find a way that - that sucks you are a moron. it was great and the youth reaffirmed my belief in my job (hello.. my name is mary poppins and i am addicted to being overly drippy)
* wednesday was today... boring... just counting down my days to freedom .... i must say.. . this freedom is excellent but could be better with someone to do stuff with.... but i look forward to it just the same. the coffee.. the porch... the glider... the flowers... the cats....... the sun... the pool ...... the drives to no place in particular.... what a lovely picture.
so as it storms outside i will bid you all a good night .. and despite my gaps in blogs know that i am thinking of you ... and hope to hear from you soon.
