sunday.
yesssssssssssss (clap clap)! it IS FINISHED... all the familial committments are OVER praise you sweet jesus. on to my actual time off... as the entire last week was crushed, demolished and ruined by too much to do in too little time then showered with too much horseshit. so the past few days....
thursday christmas day - went over my aunt thea's house for a nice meal and good company - big ups to that group of family they really know how to behave like family in a natural non-false onion ring-ish, way. they are good people.
friday - went to cavs game with my bro's and dad... went to dinner at ALICE COOPERSTOWN and waited oh about an hour for food that never arrived - that is a warning to anyone wishing to dine in that area.. don't go to ALICE COOPERSTOWN unless theres absolutely nothing going on downtown. bogus.. but we had hotdogs at the game - that was very pleasant.
saturday... i did a little running around and had to go downtown to work for that college shoot out basketball event. big whup. the best money i made was from a group of people who neglected to take their change from a 20 dollar bill - whooops!
sunday - went to a christening - cousins baby.. BIG UPS TO JESUS for his whole blessing and what not at the baptism - it was nice... say what you will about religion and all that goes along with it... i like it.. i like church and i like baptism - i like rituals and hoping that dead people are somewhere thinking about us and intervening for our good and i like to think about saints and all that history ...... but thats me... i have friends who say that religion is as believable as flying monkeys.. and that is o.k. too! (however i did warn these people that if they didn't invite jesus to their wedding don't ask him to come to your funeral!!)
oh well...i'm happy that all that is over. tomorrow i will go buy some paint and work on some i house projects! yippee
i'm trying to adopt chris' method of naming the new year ie: "the year of hard work" and then working towards that end.(i have always envied that about him he's got a real focus that works for him)... but i'm having difficulty as i have so many things to think about and work on - and so few days left... but i will think hard as i'm painting ... thats sort of a zen exercise. i'll let you know what i come up with.
thanks for the kind ear,
