hi everyone it's wednesday night (before thanksgiving).
i worked at the bar tonight. for the "grateful dead" thing. it sucked. can you believe there are still people in their late 20's / early 30's sporting the jiffy pop hat full of gross unkempt dread locks? we (my fellow employees were discussing the employability of someone with the jiffy pop full of dreads and patch work home made slacks and more so why/ how do people live this way... oh wait look at their expensive suv's etc. okey dokey)
anyhoo.
i went to target. i've decided against the tree this year.... so what. i got all my gifts wrapped, i've got the stockings hung, i've got all my xmas decor out and about. i'm feelin pretty good. these are pre xmas / pre surgery things i wanted to get done so i'm doing pretty well just a few more stupid things and i'm set.
so what are you all doing? getting prepared for tomorrow's dinner? i am very glad to be a single person today that means only one family gathering..... oh if only i were an orphan i'd be so pumped. i will try to make it through my parents gala event without the help of vodka... (yea right). shopping on friday seems like the worst idea ever - note to self: ask chris if saturday will suffice. seeing as i plan on an unpresidentedly quick recovery maybe even a mid december shopping / drinking binge will be o.k. (a stop at marbles is a must)
oh well happiest of thanksgivings to you all. and know that i give thanks for anyone who is listening on monday / reading this now and is a part of our giant universe!!! enjoy
