saturday may something.
MOTORHEAD REVIEW coming soon to the reviews section!! look for it.
so how've you all been? i had a good saturday (so far).
for today's blog... i thought i'd copy chris and give you a bit of my past writing. i've never claimed to be "A WRITER" or in the words of al (currently of "al and the giantess") "WRITERLY" i'm just not. but i do however love a small notebook, and taking notes on my surroundings.... so here kind readers is a narrative from some 10 odd year ago... i was on my way to Poland to see my brother who was there on a scholarship to do research.... flying solo as it were here are my thoughts:
Monday the 20th.
I board the plane and search for my seat 15D, aisle seat. I mentally weight the pro's and con's of the aisle seat as if i had a choice and decide it will be fine. I sit in my place with my seat in the up right position, of course. I study it's pattern, reminicent of a popular 70's kitchen rug. Other passengers are boarding, nervousness sets in ... I think of you. We begin our ascent, i feel sick but try to convince myself it's just like being on a big bus or some other vehicle that might defy gravity. I wait for my eyeballs to explode. We level off and i begin to feel better. The stewards begin the strange ritual of handing out peanuts and pop - they are quick and efficient... i laugh to myself about the absurdity of the whole thing. They smile alot. You almost think they're going to pull up a folding chair right there in the aisle and ask about your family or your trip. They continue to smile.. i become suspicious of their gaity. I study the people around me and sigh with relief at the lack of children and obese people. I watch them devour their peanuts - some throwing back the whole bag and swallowing with barely a chew. Others assemble them on the tray in front of them and eat them one by one savoringly, perhaps convinced that they are some sort of in flight delacasie(?) that might have been fished from the ocean and were it not such a short flight may have been served on the half shell. The rest of the flight goes well. We are in decent, i try to look past the 2 people next to me to see out the window... i catch a glimpse of wing, clouds and land rising towards us and i am assured of my preference for the aisle seat. The pilot comes on and makes a closing speech about how "Your are the biggest part of U.S. air" my eyes water and i laugh at my own stupidity. 6:10 p.m Waiting to board the next flight gate 29 JFK New York airport. As i walked through JFK i see all sorts of strange, interesting and exotic people then i find gate 29 - evidentally the flop house of JFK.

and that's where it ends..... hope you enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed the memories it conjured up.
have a marvelous weekend and i'll talk to you very soon.
good night.
thea
