what is today.
oh yea thursday.
things have been going o.k. as things go... i am 100% stressed out at work.. which is also 100% my fault.. i put pressure on myself to have tons of stuff done yesterday and not just done yesterday but i will agonize over details that i'm certain matter very little to anyone else...i've had to construct a literary magazine with poems etc. from the students in the past 3 or so days..i had to make up awards for kids, i've got the graduation booklet to do, diplomas, report cards.. all this crap and my work compeedo is not cooperating... can't save, can't print... when i do try to save immense amounts of painstaking work.. the computer shuts down and i must begin again. it is making me ill. the upside is its almost over. that being said.
today at work i had to catch a baby mouse that was running around my office - i say "had to" because there were more then a few youths of today who were more then willing to step on it.. no way! so i gave him a little bit of apple and caught him in a box and took him out side to a place where he may find his way indoors again it just shant be in our doors. he was really really cute though no bigger then your pinky - he was teeny tiny (now let's imagine that earnie is teeny tiny). then we had a student completely defy my request and total logic by picking up a baby bird and bringing it in the school. we had a robins nest outside our window and today all the birds learned to fly..except one who was doing o.k. just unsure of himself..so before lunch time i saw him downstairs walking around on the ground - no doubt he would've gotten his nerve up and flown (mom bird was around watching) anyhow i told one of the students (a very wonderful / smart(?)) girl to go out at lunch time and simply watch out for him to make sure none of the idiots tried to hurt it or pick it up.. and i said DO NOT TOUCH IT OR PICK IT UP.. for fear the mother will reject it. well it took her all of 2 minutes to come rushing upstairs with it in her hands saying "i had to save it" we all tried to get her to take it back outside which thankfully after an hour she did... by the end of the day he was up in a tree but will the mother take care of him.. does he still need to be taken care of? will he be o.k.? who knows.. why don't they just listen. just once.
oh well -i just saw fat loverboy on tv - sad.
i can't take no more i'm goin to bed
have a good weekend you all and if you run across a slice of cake you know what do do with it!
